TIFF'S STORY...
Meet Tiffany. She is an Amazing Young woman and the inspiration behind the Faded Iguana Brand. At the age of 18 months old, Tiff experienced a Life Altering Health Event that left her with a Traumatic Brain Injury. She was faced with the challenges of having to re-learn the basic childhood skills that she had already mastered before the incident. Over time she was able to regain some of the functions that were affected by the setbacks of the TBI. Her Toughness, Courage, Hard Work, and Perseverance, has made it possible for her to overcome most of her obstacles and accomplish some Amazing things. Growing up in South Florida, Tiffany has always loved the outdoors and the water. This active, healthy Outdoor Lifestyle has really made a difference in her life and her healing. In High School, she was part of the Cross Country Running Team where she learned the joy of competing and being a part of a supportive team that encouraged her and accepted her for who she was. After graduation one of our close family friends noticed her passion for the ocean. Being an avid Surfer, Board Designer/Shaper, and Custom Surfboard Fin manufacturer himself, Rod suggested that Tiff attend a local Surfer's For Autism event where she was introduced to the sport of Surfing. She absolutely loved it! Soon after that, she started competing in Special Olympics Events. Throughout her sports career Tiff has earned over 25 Gold Medals in competitions at the State Level in at least six different sports including surfing. Tiff was chosen to be a member of Team Florida and compete in the 2022 Special Olympics USA National Games. As a member of Team Florida Stand Up Paddleboard she won the Silver Medal in the Women's 1600 Meter Stand Up Paddleboard Event held at the Games. That same year Tiff was chosen as the Special Olympics Athlete Of The Year for her home County in Florida. This award is based not only on athletic accomplishments, but the overall character and attitude of the athlete toward coaches, volunteers and fellow athletes. Anyone who has spent any time with Tiffany and experiences her positive attitude toward life, cheerful personality and friendly smile soon realizes what a special person she truly is. Tiffany is proof that with Love, Patience and Support from Family, Friends, Mentors and Coaches, You can accomplish anything that you want to achieve in life. As Tiffany likes to say
" We will make it work as we always do"

WHERE DID NICK COME FROM?
Flash back to 1990 something...
Somewhere in the South Florida sun, there were two wild Iguanas that would run around the yard. Occasionally the family would feed them hibiscus flowers and snacks. They eventually named one Nick and the other one Nina. One day Grandma brought over a well thought out gift, a giant plastic Iguana. For years "Nick" has been perched on top of our backyard "Tiki Bar" where he greets visiting friends and family with his mischievous, smirky smile.
Fast forward to 2017 we had an idea and slowly began to "crawl" with it. It was our hope that we could one day start a family business that would ultimately be run by our Amazing Daughter Tiffany and her "Favorite Rock Star "and "Little Brother" Jeff. There was never any doubt that our brand would be called FADED IGUANA and that NICK would have to be our Mascot. We secured the domain name a few years later, and we started the process of obtaining a Trademark on the FADED IGUANA name. We have completed the Trademark process and now "FADED IGUANA" is a protected Registered Trademark. Since then we have been working with some Awesome friends that we met through Special Olympics, our contacts in the Music Business, and the AWESOME Jeep Community that we have been a part of for the past several years. These partners have really helped us bring "Nick" The "Original Faded Iguana" to life.
